The uniqueness of alkyd resin, epoxy and polyurethane nanocomposites has brought prominent recognition to the field heavy-duty coating materials. This is expected due collaborative features nano-sized materials such as high surface area volume ratio, great functionality per-unit space, extremely small sizes with density, that (biodegradability, gloss retention, adaptability, flexibility, durability, good drying properties, weathering resistance). objective this review was analyze extent currency research development alkyd, epoxy, in applications. Some several types modifications discussed are incorporation varying nanoclay metal nanoparticles into resins, carbon nanotubes, MGel-graphene oxide (GO)/gelatin (MGel), Ni (II) Complex-Zeolite starch-modified nano-ZnO resin (Rb2Co(H2P2O7)2.2H2O), modified ZnO, diminished graphene (dGO) their effects on various studied resulted nanocomposite end-products much improved properties. However, there challenges need urgent attention. difficulty involved transforming fabricated from laboratory commercialized scale, capital-intensive nature synthesizing large nanopowder, etc.
